Piva Modern Italian

Went for late lunch, happy hour starts at 2-5pm. Wild Bour meatballs is a must and such a great deal for happy hour. I was gonna order chocolate cake for one of my friends because we are celebrating her birthday and they said it's on the house very generous and fabulous chocolate cake is served. Very happy with lunch today. Staffs are very nice and friendly. Great service and food. Highly recommended.

my wife wanted to try this restaurant out for a while so we made a date night for it and we are definitely glad we did! crabcakes and caesar salad appetizer were both delicious, the pizza and duck were even better and we loved the desserts! but honestly, the best part was probably our server, Darryl! he was so attentive and and funny throughout the service, I would probably come back for the food, but I would definitely come back just because of how well we were treated by him! 5 stars all around

I went for brunch here, and it was absolutely incredible. We ordered the breakfast pizza, chicken and waffles, avocado toast, panettone French toast, and breakfast risotto-every single dish was to die for. The flavors were spot-on, everything was cooked perfectly, and each bite was better than the last. Beyond the food, the service was excellent. We were well taken care of, and the staff was attentive and friendly without being overbearing. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it the perfect spot for a relaxed yet elevated brunch experience. If you're looking for a place that serves top-tier brunch with amazing flavors and great service, this is it. Highly recommend!

We went to Piva for our anniversary dinner and left with full, happy bellies and even fuller hearts. We started with the beef carpaccio, which was absolutely amazing. The tenderloin was soft enough to melt in your mouth, and paired well with fried capers, truffle aioli, and Grana Padano. For mains, we shared the Rustic Italian Pizza and the Dinner Burger. The pizza crust was perfectly seasoned, and the vodka sauce tied the pepperoni and mozzarella together seamlessly. The burger came with fries, and I have to say I might’ve had the best fries and ketchup of my life here. I still can’t stop thinking about them. To top it off, we were treated to a complimentary chocolate cake for our anniversary, and it turned out to be one of the best desserts we’ve ever had. The espresso mascarpone complemented the rich fudge cake really well. We were so impressed, we ordered the lemon tart as well, and were blown away again. I genuinely wished I had an Italian nonna who could make one of those for me every weekend. The service was exceptional too. Our server (a kind gentleman whose name we unfortunately didn’t catch) was incredibly attentive and made sure we were well taken care of throughout the evening. It was our third time visiting Piva, and it certainly won’t be the last. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a quality Italian dining experience in the lower mainland.

Had an excellent dinner experience at Piva. We ordered the arancini, calamari steak, wild boar pasta, spaghetti for Nonno, and a glass of Aia Vecchia. For two people, we paid 149.00 including tip. All the dishes were flavorful, and the pasta was cooked al dente. The calamari steak was tender and nicely paired with olives. You could really taste the truffle in the arancini. Service was prompt and friendly, as expected from a high-end Italian restaurant. The ambiance was pleasant, and it wasn’t too crowded since it was a Monday night. Will definitely go back!

What a wonderful experience. So glad that such restaurants still exist in the lower mainland. We were treated with such warmth and friendliness right from the moment we stepped through the doors. A very special mention to our server Darryl. He really took care of all his tables despite the restaurant being relatively busy. He was very attentive and made our evening really special. Now, the food, what a gastronomical delight. We ordered the Modern Italian Pizza, For Nonno and Bolognese pastas. Even the drinks, cocktails and mocktails were very balanced and delicious. We definitely will be back to try more of their menu especially their amazing and authentic pizzas.

If you're a fan of Italian food like my husband and I, Piva Modern Italian is a must-visit! We headed there for dinner on Saturday night, and from the moment we stepped in, the place had us hooked such a lovely vibe and warm, welcoming energy. The service was absolutely top-notch right from the start. Our server, Tamara, was fantastic! She had the perfect mix of friendly charm and attentiveness not to mention, she's a pro multi-tasker. We really appreciated how well she took care of us all evening. Our night kicked off with some cocktails, and I have to say the Espresso Martini was a definite standout, smooth and perfectly balanced. My husband had the Boulevardier, which was equally impressive and full of flavor. Their wine selection is also worth exploring for any wine lovers out there! For starters, we shared the Carpaccio and Crab Cakes both were absolutely delicious. The flavors were spot on, and the presentation was just as inviting. Definitely recommend giving them a try! For the mains, we went with the Zio Italiano, which was cooked beautifully and packed with rich, comforting flavors. We also ordered the Duck, and it was cooked to perfection juicy, flavorful, and plated with so much care. We ended the night on a sweet note with the For Nonna dessert, which was just perfect the ideal way to wrap up such a wonderful dining experience. Overall, we had such a great time at Piva delicious food, great service, and an inviting atmosphere. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!

Visited twice , I was impressed by the services and food. The squid steak was really nice, I don’t see this dish in every restaurant. Clam pasta and crab cake are standard. 12oz Steak wad super nice for the price, cannot request more. Last, extremely recommend the truffle fries!
